Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana is to hold a meeting with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders.

The high level party meeting has been scheduled on the 24th of August, to discuss the upcoming Huzurabad Assembly by election. The meeting is set to begin at 2:00 P.M., at the Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the TRS President Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao would discuss crucial steps to be taken for the Huzurabad Assembly by election. In addition, awareness campaigns regarding the recently launched Dalit Bandhu scheme would also be a major part of tomorrow’s meeting. The recently launched Dalit Bandhu scheme, benefiting Dalit families financially, is a catch for the TRS to gain a lot of Dalit votes in the poll bound Huzurabad Assembly constituency. Although the TRS denies the launch to be a political move for votes, it would give a major impact on voting, especially when 50 % of Huzurabad Assembly voters belong to Dalit communities.

Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, Mr. T. Harish Rao, Mr. Mohammed Ali and other Cabinet ministers would be a part of the high level meeting. The meeting is said to be a significant one for chalking the strategies of campaigns for the Huzurabad by polls.

After the exit of Mr. Eatala Rajender from the TRS, the Huzurabad by poll win is a major hurdle for the ruling Government. It is to be noted, after resigning as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Huzurabad and the TRS member, Mr. Eatala Rajender is now going to contest the MLA seat on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket.

Therefore, the Huzurabad by poll is going to be a tough fight between the TRS and the BJP. Besides the BJP and the TRS, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is also in the fray for the Assembly seat.

The date of the Huzurabad Assembly by election is yet to be announced. The Election Commission of India (ECI) is expected to announce the date in the first week of September.

Stay tuned for further updates.
