On the 19th of May, Mr. Anil Baijal, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, submitted his resignation.
On Wednesday, Mr. Anil Baijal gave the resignation letter to Mr. Ramnath Kovind, the President of India. According to the sources, he has resigned from the Delhi governor’s post for personal reasons. The details of the reasons are yet to be known.
Notably, Mr. Anil Baijal became the LG of Delhi after Najeeb Jung. He was appointed as the Lieutenant Governor in December 2016.
He often had differences with the Chief Minister of Delhi Mr. Arvind Kejriwal regarding the administration.
Furthermore, Mr. Baijal’s term ended on the 30th of December 202, but he was given an extension in service.
Now, Mr. Anil Baijal has been Lieutenant Governor of Delhi for five years.
