In Andhra Pradesh’s Nallakonda forest, a massive fire broke out on the 13th of February, Monday evening. The forest was located near the Ayyannapalem region in Sabbavaram Mandal of Anakapalli.
The fire burnt mango, cashew and other trees spread over four acres of forest land. The locals informed the fire brigade and reached the spot along with them to control the situation. The forest officials said that they managed to control the fire to some extent by night, but the flames continue in some areas and the operation to control the fire continued the next day.
Fire officials suspected that there is a possibility of the involvement of miscreants in the incident.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
