Tadepalli: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, declared that his religion is humanity and postponed his visit to Tirumala to keep the public’s attention on the wrongdoings of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Speaking at the YSRCP headquarters on Wednesday, Jagan accused Naidu of diverting attention from real issues by creating unnecessary controversies about religious declarations.
Jagan revealed that attempts were made to block his Tirumala visit, with YSRCP leaders being placed under house arrest and thousands of police deployed. He stated that both he and his late father, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, had always followed temple traditions, questioning why a religious declaration was needed now.
Addressing Naidu’s false claims about the purity of the Tirupati laddu, Jagan detailed the stringent checks in place for the procurement of ghee, emphasizing that both his and Naidu’s governments had rejected substandard supplies. He accused Naidu of politicizing the issue to hide his government’s failures.
Jagan urged YSRCP supporters to perform pujas across the state, praying for protection from Naidu’s actions. He also called on the BJP to hold Naidu accountable, stressing that religion should not be manipulated for political gain.
