
Mumbai: Serentica Global, a subsidiary of Vedanta Group, is gearing up to launch a 10 gigawatts (GW) renewable energy project in Andhra Pradesh, aiming to support the state’s clean energy goals and provide large-scale job opportunities. The announcement followed a meeting between Serentica Global representatives and Andhra Pradesh’s Information Technology and Electronics Minister, Mr. Nara Lokesh, in Mumbai on Thursday.
Minister Lokesh stated that the Andhra Pradesh government warmly welcomes corporate investors like Serentica Global to collaborate on achieving the state’s ambitious target of producing 72 GW of renewable energy by 2030. Highlighting the potential for economic growth, he added that the state government’s focus is to leverage these projects to generate extensive employment opportunities for local youth.
Andhra Pradesh’s push toward renewable energy is seen as a critical step in positioning the state as a leader in sustainable development, with Minister Lokesh affirming the government’s commitment to support initiatives that combine technological advancement and social progress.
