Proddatur/Ongole: YSRCP spokesperson and former MLA Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy condemned recent remarks by YS Sharmila, calling them deceptive and politically motivated. He accused Sharmila of conspiring against YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s political standing and aligning with rivals like Chandrababu Naidu and Sunitha for power gains.
Speaking to media in Proddatur, Rachamallu clarified that Jagan approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to legally resolve asset matters, not to reclaim property. Emphasizing Jagan’s enduring affection for his sister, Rachamallu highlighted that he had generously supported Sharmila, providing around ₹200 crore over the last decade. He accused Sharmila of disregarding their agreement by unilaterally transferring shares, thereby forcing Jagan to seek legal cancellation. He praised Jagan’s wife, Bharati, for her willingness to share assets with Sharmila, and criticized Sharmila’s allegations against her.
In a separate conference in Ongole, YSRCP spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar urged CM Chandrababu Naidu to avoid politicizing family issues, cautioning that the public disapproves of such tactics. Jupudi accused Naidu of neglecting governance in favor of “diversion politics” and demanded transparency on his own family’s property matters, suggesting that Naidu’s focus on Jagan’s family is a distraction from governance lapses in education, health, and agriculture.
