Amaravati: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the medical and health department’s operations and approved several significant reforms aimed at improving healthcare services across Andhra Pradesh.

In a key decision, the state government announced a single service provider for the 108 and 104 emergency medical services. Additionally, 190 new 108 ambulances will be purchased to enhance emergency response. The government also approved an additional ₹4,000 allowance for ambulance drivers.

To further improve healthcare accessibility, 58 new Mahaprasthanam vehicles will soon be deployed. The CM also emphasized the establishment of Jana Aushadhi stores in every mandal, ensuring affordable medicines for all.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister urged the medical department to prioritize preventive healthcare and devise strategies for its effective implementation. The review also included discussions on addressing pending issues in the health sector and introducing necessary reforms to streamline services.

Minister Satya Kumar and senior officials from the Health Department participated in the review meeting, which marks a significant step toward advancing healthcare services in the state.
