
Vijayawada: District Collector G. Lakshmisha has called for collective participation to drive the district’s development in the new year. Speaking at a press conference held at the Collector’s camp office on Monday, he highlighted key initiatives aimed at ensuring growth and prosperity across various sectors.
Reflecting on the efforts during the Budameru floods, Lakshmisha commended the collaboration between public representatives and officials, emphasizing the importance of teamwork. He announced that “Team NTR” is setting ambitious goals for 2024, with a focus on implementing the Swarnandhra @ 2047 vision under the guidance of the Chief Minister. This includes achieving an average growth of 15% and enhancing the MSME sector to boost industrial growth and employment.
Plans to transform the district into a tourism hub are underway, with discussions on new tourism packages and initiatives such as introducing tourist guides. Additionally, efforts are being made to make Vijayawada, the gateway to Amaravati, a clean, green, and prosperous city.
The collector emphasized equal priority for welfare schemes aimed at improving living standards and achieving zero poverty. He highlighted renewable energy initiatives like the PM Suryagarh Must Bijili Yojana and skill development programs linked to employment creation.
Lakshmisha urged the media and public to contribute constructive suggestions for sustainable district development.
