Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan addressed media queries on Monday regarding the potential ministerial post for his brother, Jana Sena leader Naga Babu. Speaking in Mangalagiri, Kalyan emphasized that his decision is based on the merit and contributions of those who have worked alongside him, rather than caste or nepotism.

Pawan Kalyan stated, “Although we did not come from a political background, my elder brother Naga Babu rose on his own. Our next generation now has a background, but it is important to recognize those who have worked tirelessly with us.” He highlighted Naga Babu’s unwavering support for the party, enduring insults from rival YCP leaders and standing firm with the Jana Sena Party.

The Deputy CM further clarified that talent and dedication would be the key criteria for appointing individuals to positions, asserting, “There’s no focus on caste or nepotism. We will assess the contributions of workers like Manohar and Hariprasad, and decide accordingly.” He also responded to critics, questioning why only his party was being scrutinized when similar issues were not raised regarding other leaders.

Kalyan confirmed that Naga Babu would be considered for an MLC position, with discussions about a ministerial role to follow.
