Vijayawada: The SC and ST Special Court in Vijayawada has extended the remand of Vaikapa leader and former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamshi. With his previous remand period ending today, police produced him before a virtual judge from jail, following which the court ordered an extension until March 11.
Vamshi in Police Custody
The police have taken Vamshi into custody for three days, starting today. Patamata police reached the jail and escorted him under tight security, taking him for a medical examination in a special vehicle. As a precautionary measure, authorities monitored the situation using drone cameras while transporting him to the Vijayawada Government Hospital.
The police plan to interrogate Vamshi based on the statement given by Satyavardhan, a key figure in the case. The investigation is expected to intensify, with authorities focusing on gathering crucial evidence.
