Hyderabad: Telangana will be hosting the next World Economic Forum (WEF) annual Conference in Hyderabad.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday requested Klaus Schwab, an executive chairman to hold WEF’s next annual Conference in the city.
KCR met Schwab in annual meeting of the New Champions at Dalian in China on Wednesday. The New Champions meetings, which is considered as the foremost global business gathering in Asia, has been billed as the “Summer Davos”.
Chief Minister’s Office released a press note which stated, ” Schwab and KCR had discussions for about 30 minutes. The CM briefed him on various economic and social aspects of Telangana, including significance of Hyderabad in India.”
