As many as 310 people were killed in a stampede near the Islamic holy city of Mecca on Thursday. The incident took place when the people were taking part in the Hajj pilgrimage. Another 450 people were injured in the incident at Mina, according to officials.
According to reports, the deadly stampede took place when more than a million pilgrimage were taking part in the last major rite of the Hajj.
Nearly 109 people were killed and another 400 were wounded when a crane collapsed at Mecca’s Grand Mosque, earlier this month.
