Delhi:Indian cricketer Amit Mishra was released from the police station on Tuesday after being arrested in assault case in Bengaluru.
According to the reports, Mishra was grilled in a three-hour long interrogation session before being arrested.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru DCP Sandeep Patil stated earlier on Tuesday that Mishra will be released on bail as it was a bailable offence.

The cricketer was earlier facing criminal charged for assaulting a lady friend in Bengaluru recently. But, later the woman denied of any such thing and wants to comfort Mishra before the Ashok Nagar police.
“I won’t withdraw the complaint against Amit (Mishra). I am hurt physically, mentally and emotionally by the cricketer,” she told the newspaper.
Apparently, the leg-spinner who was in touch with her till Wednesday, is now unreachable. “He knew I was going to the police and kept saying he will come to Bengaluru and sort out the matter. I want Amit to come in front of the police and talk to me,” she further added.
Mishra is set to appear before the police next week when the ongoing ODI series against South Africa ends, sources added. Mishra was in Bengaluru last month for India’s pre-tour training camp when he had met the woman.
