Mumbai: Mega star of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he is surviving only on 25 percent of his liver today. At the launch of media campaign on Hepatitis, Big B made the statement.
Amitabh Bachchan said that it came to him accidentally and added that he was infused with nearly 60 bottles of blood from about 200 donors. He revealed that, three years ago, he had been detected with the Australian antigen Hepatitis B and added that it was very new for being detected also among various tests needed to be carried out before giving blood to another patient.
It is learnt that nearly after 18 years, Amitabh was told that his liver was infected and he lost 75 per cent of it. Big B stated that the good part is that one can survive even with 12 per cent and no one wants to face such a situation.
The “Wazir” star added that he had faith in the experts of medicine and doctors of India as he went through the course in the country and not decided to go abroad.
