Mumbai: An FIR was lodged against star couple, Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao, on Friday at the Muzaffarpur district in Bihar. The FIR was lodged against them for making controversial comments on most debatable topic ‘Intolerance’.
On Friday at the Town police station in Muzaffarpur district, advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha lodged the FIR against Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao under sections 153 (Wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot),153A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc), 153B (Imputations, assertions prejudicial to national-integration) and 154 (Sedition) of IPC.
Recently, at an event, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s statements sparked a controversy over his remarks on ‘intolerance’. He said that his wife Kiran Rao was considering whether to move out of the country with their child due to the prevalence of an atmosphere of ‘intolerance’.
