Karachi: As many as 15 people were killed and several injured in an explosion ripped through a bus carrying government officials in Peshawar on Wednesday. The explosion took place in Saddar, a busy shopping district as the bus was picking up government workers to take them to their officers, an official said.
According to a local reports, “the top part of the bus has blown off and is being cut to pull out the injured.”
“It’s premature to comment about the nature of the blast but it appears that explosives were planted inside the bus,” senior police official Mohammad Kashif said. “There were 40-50 people on the bus.”
The injured have been taken to the Lady Reading Hospital.
