‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ remark: Hyderabad court registered a case against Asaduddin Owaisi

Hyderabad: A court in Hyderabad have issued orders to Neredmet police station to register a criminal case against MIM chief and Hyderabad MP, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi for allegedly hurting the emotions of Indians by refusing to chant“Bharat Mata ki Jai” even if a knife is put on his throat.

Saikumar Goud, 25-year-old a resident of Neredmet has filed a petition at the 20th Metropolitan Magistrate of Malkajgiri alleging that Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, Lok Sabha MP of Hyderabad had hurt the feelings of the Indians by refusing to chant ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.

In the petition, Goud added that he had read reports in newspapers with regard to Asaduddin’s “defamatory” speech, which would “promote enmity between different groups”.
Owaisi, while addressing a public rally in Udgir tehsil of Latur district in Maharashtra on March 13, had said he would not chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
