Mumbai: Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai in the wee hours of Saturday. According to reports, the 93-year-old actor was shifted to the hospital at around 2 am due to a respiratory problem.
Dr Jalil Parkar of Lilavati Hospital said, “I got a call that he was unwell. He had fever and had vomited a few times. He was suffering from pneumonia as well. His white blood cells had shot up. We thought it would be better to admit him to hospital.”
The veteran actor was honoured with many prestigious awards including Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke award for his immense contribution to the Indian cinema.
