Koppal: As many as eleven member were killed on the spot and four other injured in a road accident in Karnataka. A truck and a private maxicab collided with each other which killed 11 passengers at Halageri village on Monday evening.
Police officials said, the maxicab was carrying labours who were returning from work at a marriage in Koppal and the truck was travelling to Koppal from Gadag. Truck driver was killed along with ten maxicab travelers while four others sustained injuries.
The injured have been admitted to the district hospital. A case has been registered in the Koppal rural police station.
