Visakhapatnam: A massive fire broke out in a bio-diesel unit near the port city of Visakhaptnam on Tuesday night. Luckily, no causalities have been reported.
Forty fire tenders were sent to flush out the blaze that started in the facilities of a company called Biomax in the Duvvada Special Economic Zone around 7:30 pm, an eye witness said. Six oil tankers exploded due to the fire, he added.

Fire flames could be seen in some of them today morning. A Navy aircraft on an aerial recce over the facility on Wednesday morning confirmed that eight tanks were still ablaze.
“Fire engines reached the spot and two fire engines with chemical foam were requisitioned from HPCL and Eastern Naval Command to put off the fire,” District Fire Officer J M Rao said. THe reason behind the fire mishap is yet to be ascertained.
