2 Journalist Shot Dead In Jharkhand and Patna

Patna: Two prominent Journalist have been killed with in 24 hours in Patna and neighbouring Jharkhand state.
A senior national Journalist with over 20 years of experience, the bureau chief of Hindi daily Hindustan, Rajdeo Ranjan was killed in Siwan on Friday by some unidentified assailants. According to the sources, the journalist was shot on the head and neck from point blank range. He was soon rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

The police said that the motive behind muder is not clear as he was wise to all and dint have any personal enmity with anyone. However, on the basis of the eyewitness account, said that “motorcycle-borne criminals killed him on the streets of Siwan”. Meanwhile, in Jharkhand’s Chatra district, a journalist was shot dead by unidentified people on Thursday night. 35-year-old Akhilesh Pratap Singh worked for a local news channel, and was gunned down near the panchayat secretariat of his village.

Mounting on attack the chief minister, Hindustani Awami Morcha chief Jitan Ram Manjhi said, “Everyday people are being killed and Nitish Kumar keeps talking about good governance. Law and order system has completely failed in Bihar”.
