New Delhi: According to the political circle reports, the Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will be promoted as the party’s president by the end of June. However, Sonia Gandhi has refused to comment on this topic but, the congress leaders are all excited and spreading the news wide.
Congress leader Sushmitra Dev on Wednesday said that the party works under Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her Son Rahul, but if there is anything as such of changing the president the party would definitely speak about it.
Few Congress leaders expressed their eager over the decision- All India Mahila Congress president Shobha Oza said the entire party was waiting for this moment. She further stated that Rahul Gandhi has been working hard for revival of the Congress from the streets to Parliament.
“The entire Congress has been waiting for this and we are very happy that Rahul Gandhi is going to become the party president,” Oza told media. Meanwhile the BJP was abuzz, HRD minister Smriti Z Irani told that Rahul Gandhi becoming Congress president would be achhe din for BJP, and speaks about her policy initiatives.
