AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Provides Input Subsidy To Eligible Farmers, Releases Rs 542 Crores

On the 15th of February, Tuesday, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, released input subsidies to farmers of the State.

According to sources, the Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy Government released an amount of Rs. 542.06 crores for the subsidy deposit.

The subsidy amount would be given to 5,97,311 farmers, whose crops were damaged due to heavy rainfall in Andhra Pradesh, in November 2021.

Besides the amount for crop damage, the YSRCP Government deposited an additional Rs. 29.51 crores, in the accounts of 1,220 farmer groups under the YSR Machinery Service Scheme.

On this occasion, CM Mr. Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the Government is in favor of the farmers in all possible ways and will provide help. He said, “All the reservoirs in AP are filled with water due to rains since the YSRCP came to power; rains are also expected in drought prone areas like Rayalaseema. In some places, farmers lost their crops due to heavy rains.” He further added, “We are putting a lot of emphasis on transparency and displaying the list of beneficiaries at RBK centers at the village level.”

With this, since 2019, the YSRCP Government released a total of Rs. 1,612.62 crores subsidies to 19.93 lakh farmers, who lost their crops due to natural disasters in the past 3 years.

The money was released virtually from the YSRCP Camp Office in Tadepalli. Ministers like Mr. Kurasala Kannababu, Ms. Avanti Srinivas, Mr. Sankaranarayana, Agriculture Vice Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Mr. M.V.S. Nagireddy, and senior officials of the concerned departments attended the event.
