Pawan meets Naidu: finalizes 28 seats

Vijayawada: Janasena and Telugu Desam party had intensified exercise on seat sharing. While ruling YSRCP had declared six lists of candidates till date, TDP and Jansena are still preparing their first list of candidates.

Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan on Sunday met Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu at latters house on Sunday afternoon and negotiated the seat sharing. Sources said that Janasena, Telugu Desam and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest 2024 elections together in AP. 

Janasena is likely to get 32 assembly seats as per the internal sources. However, Pawan Kalyan is demanding at least 38 seats. Pawan Kalyan had already finalized Machilipatnam and Kakinada parliamentary seats and was heading to appoint incharges shortly.

BJP is likely to contest in three parliament seats and a decent number of assembly seats in alliance. Naidu and Pawan had once again met on Sunday night and cleared the names of around 55 candidates. Names of the finalized constituencies will be released shortly.

Unlike YS Jagan, TDP-JSP alliance is eyeing to declare all candidates in three lists. Pawan Kalyan and Naidu had decided to meet the aspirants who lost seats due to seat sharing exercise. Aspirants from Janasena and Telugu Desam will be called to the party headquarters, where both the leaders will assure suitable and respectable positions after winning elections.
