AP Govt Suspends Devendra Reddy TTD Estate Officer For Leaking Information

On the 26th of June, the Andhra Pradesh Government, suspended V. Devendra Reddy, the Tirupati Tirumala Devsthanam (TTD) Estate Officer.

The State Government suspended V Devendra Reddy, Deputy Collector working as Estate Officer, TTD alleging him of leaking sensitive information of the TTD to electronic media in violation of Conduct Rules. 

JSV Prasad, Special Chief Secretary, Endowments informed in a GO Rt No 548 that as per the primary investigation, the government has identified him responsible for the leakage and hence the action initiated.

The Special CS explained that “A news item appeared in some electronic media channels on May 31 and June 1 giving details of estate matters of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. An internal enquiry conducted by the Executive Officer revealed that the leaked out details matched with a report that was being prepared at the time by the Estate Office of TTD.

The EO of TTD got confirmed that the Estate Office head Devendra Reddy indeed leaked sensitive information to the media. Thus, Devendra Reddy found instrumental in leaking the information and hence put him in suspension.” 

The temple started to function and remain open for devotees from the 11th of June.
