Aurangabad: A Marathi actress was allegedly gang raped by five persons. The incident occurred in Paithan tehsil. The police arrested one person and other four managed to flee.
According to reports, the 21-year-old actress shot for a film “Lahanapan” in the village of Ambad in the Aurangabad district. She shot the film for nearly two months. It is heard that a local director Anand Maghade has asked his friend Govind Chitlange for an actress. He then, approached the actress and the director roped in her for the role.
After shooting the film for nearly 60 days, the actress asked Chitlange for her fee. When she contacted him, he called her to Aurangabad, took her to a private place and raped her with his friends.
However, the police arrested Chitlange while four others are still absconding. The victim filed a case in this connection. The case has been transferred to the Paithan police. The police investigation is underway.
