Chennai: Actress Radhika Apte said that she will join the sets of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film titled “Kabali” in December. The actress has been roped in opposite super star in a romantic lead role in the Tamil drama.
Speaking at the 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival said, “I’m really excited. I’ll join the sets on December 1… not sure yet if it will be in Malaysia or somewhere else.”
Directed by PA Ranjith, Ranjinikanth will be seen playing the role of a gangster and Radhika Apte will be seen playing the role of his wife. The action packed drama will also feature Attakathi Dinesh, Dhanshika and Kalaiarasan in major roles.
Already the regular shooting has started. At present, the unit is in Malaysia busy shooting the major portions of the picture. It is heard that nearly 70 percent of the film will be canned in Malaysia. Recently, the first schedule of the drama was completed in Chennai. The film is expected to open in packed houses in April, 2016.
