Tekkali: Addressing an election campaign meeting in Srikakulam district’s Tekkali, APPC President Sharmila launched a scathing critique of the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government, questioning its commitment to fulfilling electoral promises and serving the people’s interests.

Sharmila raised concerns over the discrepancies between the current administration and the tenure of the late YSR, alleging that the government had failed to deliver on key assurances made to the electorate. She highlighted unfulfilled promises, including the establishment of a Rs. 3,000 crore price stabilization fund and the settlement of fee reimbursement dues to colleges, leading to delays in issuing certificates to students.

Drawing attention to social issues, Sharmila criticized the government’s failure to address concerns about alcohol consumption, despite promises of prohibition. She lamented the proliferation of liquor shops and the adverse effects of poor-quality alcohol, which she claimed contributed to a significant number of deaths in the state.

Questioning the government’s priorities, Sharmila urged voters to consider the tangible benefits delivered by the administration and scrutinize its plans for the future, particularly regarding significant financial commitments and social welfare initiatives.
