Guntur: Former minister and former MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad joined Telugu Desam on Friday. The TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu welcomed Dokka and his followers into the party.
Dokka Manikya Varaprasad earlier played a key role in TDP and was give chance as MLC.
Earlier on Friday morning Dokka resigned his position as Guntur district president of YSRCP. Expressing discontent with the party’s internal affairs, Dokka was particularly disheartened by the allocation of the Tadikonda assembly seat. Despite harboring aspirations for the seat himself, he was disappointed when the party awarded the ticket to former Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita instead. Dokka’s resignation underscores the challenges and tensions within the YSRCP as it navigates the complexities of candidate selection and electoral strategies leading up to the upcoming polls.
