Tokyo: An earthquake with 6.2 magnitude jolted northeast coast of Japan on Monday. However, no reports of damage or injuries have been registered so far.

According to U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake was 80 km deep and was centered 132 km northeast of Hachinohe, Honshu. Further details are still awaited.
