Geeta arrives in Delhi, receives warm welcome

New Delh: After spending 13 years in Karachi, Geeta on Monday arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. She received a warm welcome at the airport. She was welcomed by the Indian officials at the airport. Geeta would be handed to the family members only after a DNA test.

An aurally and verbally challenged girl from India was accompanied by the members of the Edhi Foundation, which is a charity organisation that hosted Geeta all these years. Dressed in red and white salwar kameez, Geeta looked very happy after landing in India. She re-united with her family after a long gap.

Ever since she accidently crossed the border, Geeta lived in Pakistan.Geeta identified her father, step-mother and siblings from one of photographs sent to her by the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, earlier this month.
