Mumbai: Bollywood actor Salman Khan was sentenced to five years in jail by a sessions court on Wednesday. Salman has been convicted in the 2002 hit-and-run case.Judge sentenced him for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The actor will be taken into judicial custody today and will be moved to Arthur Road jail by evening.
Salman will only be able to apply for bail at the High Court. Salman Khan was shocked by sentence, sits down and breaks down into tears. The family of Salman surrounded him after the verdict was announced.
