Boko Haram Attack: Children burnt alive, dozens killed in Nigeria

As many as 86 people, including many children, were killed in Dalori village of north-eastern Nigeria on Saturday evening. According to officials, the fighters of Boko Haram attacked the village and opened fire on the civilians. The attackers also set fire to huts and tried to storm a camp close to Dalori, which is a home to nearly 25,000 refugees but were repelled by troops.

As per witnesses, they heard the screams of children burning to death when the gunmen set fire to homes. The officials said that they had collected by Sunday afternoon. It is heard that over 62 others were admitted to hospital and were being treated for burns.

Soldiers said that initially they were unable to fight off the gunmen and the attackers only retreated after reinforcements arrived with heavier weapons.
