Top Five Hungriest Countries in the world : Global Hunger Index

The world has witnessed more than 700 malnourished people this year.

According to the recent programme conducted by Global Hunger Index states that, the world produces enough food to feed up to seven billion of the entire global population and still, one among the nine people go to bed hungry. The Global Hunger Index, which is a tool to calculate countries hunger and is updated once in a year.

The data for the year 2014 was calculated for 120 countries out of which Burundi’s hunger situation has been put in the “extremely alarming” category.

Here is a list of the hungriest countries in the world according to the Global Hunger Index:
Burundi: According to the recent reports of Global Hunger Index, Burundi region is the most hungriest place on earth. It is said that wars, poverty and overpopulation has left the country with shortage of food.

Comoros: The country ranked 4th place in the Global Hunger Index of 2014. This is just one of nineteen nations still labeled as “alarming”or “extremely alarming”on the Global Hunger Index, leaving 870 million without food.
