In Ghazipur landfill site a garbage dump caved in causing the death of one person in Delhi. It was reported that five cars are feared to be trapped under the canal. Rescue operations are going on at present and locals are also lending a hand.
The garbage is stacked up on one side with a protective mesh that broke and the garbage came pouring down pushing vehicles into the canal on the other side of the landfill.
The officials are struggling to pull cars out from the under the canal. The incident happened around 3:30 P.M., on Friday. A few eyewitnesses have said they saw six cars getting pulled under the garbage as well.
The Delhi police and the Fire Department have rushed to the spot and are helping in rescuing the ones still stuck in the canal. Some say they saw a GCB machine fall into the canal as well.
