Amazon Rolls Out Free Shipping Service For All Orders

In a bid to further boost the transaction rate on the website, the e-commerce giant Amazon.com has rolled out a service that will offer free delivery on all products irrespective of its price. Earlier, Amazon offered free shipping to orders above $35, and for orders amounting less than $35 the consumers had to shell out money from their pocket for delivery. With Amazon launching this free shipping service, it is bound to attract more consumers as they can now get to buy day to day items as well.

However, the service has not yet being rolled out in India and is currently being implemented in the US. In India, to avail free shipping service, the consumer should minimum bill Rs.500 or more.

Though this service looks really nice for everyone else, but the Amazon Prime users will surely turn red, as they pay $99 a year to subscribe to this service. Although Amazon introduced other features like same day delivery and providing access to digital services, the prime advantage of an Amazon Prime subscriber was to be entitled to free delivery.

Well, a company like Amazon will surely figure out some way to keep their prime customers happy and could offer something more to them. So all things said and done, if the program is successful in the US then India can very soon see the same service being implemented.
