Akshay Kumar has always been vocal about his support to the jawans. He made a heartfelt appeal to the citizens of India to provide aid to the families of the deceased CRPF jawans. On Monday, Naxals ambushed the jawans in Sukma district of Chattisgarh and killed 25.

Akshay Kumar, in his appeal, said, “Our brave jawans in the CRPF martyred their lives for the sake of the Nation in the recent Sukma attack. It’s my heartfelt appeal to everyone that if you want to truly pay your tribute to our fallen braves, then visit the Indian government’s website bharatkeveer.gov.in and make your contribution to show their families that India stands with them in solidarity in this moment of grief.”

The National Award winner also criticized those who made fake websites for donations and are taking advantage of martyrdom. He said, “I’m disappointed that certain small minded people have created fake websites and apps. I’m ashamed at such people. But I’m heartened when I see all of you come together to help the martyrs through the government’s official website bharatkeveer.gov.in.”

This website was launched on April 9 by Akshay Kumar and Home Minister Rajnath Singh. It allows people to donate monetary donations to the families of the paramilitary troops. Akshay Kumar played a major role in conception and implementation of this site. The website allows any amount of donations with an upper limit of Rs. 15 lakh per family of the deceased jawan.
