In a repeat of incidents, another woman was brutally raped and mutilated in Rohtak. The incident occurred on May 9 and her body was found days later in Rohtak’s IMT area. This incident came to light a day after the Supreme Court upheld death sentences for accused of the infamous Nirbhaya case.
In a postmortem conducted by Dr. S.K. Dhatarwal, revealed that the victim was brutally gang raped by seven men and also mutilated with sharp edged objects. The forensic team who found drugs in her body said that “The victim was tortured and her body was mutilated and tortured after the gang rape. She was killed after being raped involving at least seven people. Her skull was smashed in a way which indicates that she was run over by a vehicle in order to hide her identity.”
The girl is from a small town of Sonepat, where her parents had lodged a missing complaint. This helped the police in locating the girl. The parents lodged a complaint against the neighbors and demanded capital punishment for the accused. The Police said that the victim was brutally raped and her body had several injury marks. Reports also revealed sharp objects were inserted into her private parts. The girl’s head was smashed and a vehicle was run over her in order to disfigure her beyond recognition.
