DEMONETISATION EFFECT ON STUDENTS!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetization move has already made the country go insane. Many wait for hours to withdraw money while others are finding notorious ways to manage the daily expenses. In a shocking yet funny event, students from Madhya Pradesh Shajapur managed to get away with a Rs. 1800 by buying items worth Rs. 200 with a Rs. 2000 note.

You must be wondering what is so shocking about the event? I’ll tell you why. The students photocopied Rs. 2000 note and fooled the shopkeeper. Yes, you heard it right! According to a daily, the children were on their way to the school on November 17th and entered the milk parlour at 6 A.M., owned by Gopalkrishna Yadav and bought milk worth Rs. 200 and handed him Rs 2000 note. Gopalkrishna happily accepted the money and returned the remaining change to them. I the afternoon Gopalkrishna suspected the note and discussed with his son about the same. He then decided to visit the national bank to find out if the note was real– and was shocked to discover the note was a photocopy of the original!

Gopalkrishna immediately filed a complaint about the event but it seems difficult to catch hold of the culprits. Rajendra Verma who is the police station in charge Shajapur Kotwali, told a news daily, “We have taken up the matter for investigation. No case was registered as legally, one requires at least 5 fake currency notes to proceed with a case of counterfeiting.”

Truly, the demonetization of the currency has affected many. A measure to curb counterfeit currency is going the other way isn’t it?
