The Oil Marketing Companies (OMS) announced a hike of Rs. 25 for commercial LPG Gas Cylinders with a capacity of 19 kg in India.
On the 1st of January, the hiked prices were announced with immediate effect. With this, the commercial cylinders, mostly used in hotels and restaurants would be costing Rs. 1,721 in Delhi, Rs. 1,721 in Mumbai, Rs. 1,917 in Chennai and Rs. 1,870 in Kolkata.
The increased rates of commercial cylinders would affect those who frequently visit restaurants to dine in. The majority of eatery places and restaurants for dining would forward the increased prices expenses to customers, which may affect a costlier dinner outside.
It is to be noted, the prices for domestic LPG cylinders are unchanged.
