Mr. Rahul Gandhi, an Indian National Congress (INC) senior leader and former President, took to Twitter and criticised the Central Government
On the 1st of September, Wednesday, the INC took to Twitter and lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the rise in the prices of LPG gas cylinders. It is to be noted, on Wednesday, the domestic cooking gas prices increased by Rs. 25 in metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. The prices of 14 kg cylinders have been increased by Rs. 25 and the 19 kg gas cylinder prices have been increased by Rs. 75.
This is the second time in the past 15 days that the prices of LPG cylinders increased. The last time prices were hiked by Rs. 25 on the 18th of August.
In Mumbai the new price of a 14 kg gas cylinder is worth Rs. 845.5, in Delhi it is Rs. 884.50, in Chennai it is at Rs. 900, in Lucknow at Rs. 897.5 and in Kolkata at Rs. 911.
Taking a dig over the same, Mr. Rahul Gandhi demanded reduction in the Central Government imposed taxes. In his tweet, Mr. Gandhi said, “जनता को भूखे पेट सोने पर मजबूर करने वाला ख़ुद मित्र-छाया में सो रहा है…

He also shared a chart with the prices of domestic LPG cylinders in different regions of India.
The new rates of the LPG cylinders are effective from today, the 1st of September.
