The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had a prediction for the upcoming 2019 elections. She prophesied that that the BJP will get a “big blow” in the elections with less than 100 seats in the Parliament.
At an annual rally in Kolkata the CM vowed, “Bengal will show the path.” The rally was held to commemorate the 1993 firing outside the Victoria House that killed 13 youth Congress workers.
Banerjee also mentioned the BJP’s victory against the No Confidence motion passed by the opposition in the Lok Sabha. Banerjee remarked, “That number was inside the house. Outside, in a democracy, they will not win.”
On the 15th of August, the CM’s party All Trinamool Congress will launch a mega campaign title Remove BJP, Save Country.
The TDP and Congress passed No Confidence motions against the BJP led Government. The Speaker of the Lower House accepted the motion and the discussion and vote were held yesterday. But BJP winning was inevitable as the party holds more than majority seats in the Lower House.
