N.R. Narayana Murthy, the co founder of Infosys, expressed his support toward Prime Minister (PM) Modi and the Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.) Mr. Murthy said, he is in favour of PM Modi winning the 2019 general elections because of the strategies implemented by PM Modi for India’s development.
Mr. Narayana Murthy praised the Modi Government and said, “We must be grateful that there is at least a national leader of Modi’s calibre who is interested in improving India. Looking at last 5 years, I feel that having a leader who is focused on the nation, focussed on discipline, cleanliness, and economic progress is a good thing. Continuity of government would be a good thing.”
During an interview, Mr. Murthy shared his views about the Modi Government and spoke about the positive steps taken by the Government. He asked the public to give another chance to the Modi Government and added that doing so will benefit the nation and improve the chances of India’s growth and development.
When asked about the ongoing issue between the Government and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Mr. Murthy said, he hopes the RBI and the Government will soon come to an understanding. He also defended Mr. Modi when he was asked about the Rafale deal issue. He stated, none of the accusations are proved yet and nothing can be said without any proof.
He is happy with the Modi Government and was supportive of all the actions taken by the Modi Government.
India’s next general elections will be held in 2019. The two major parties contesting the upcoming elections are the BJP and Congress.
