New Delhi: Siachen miracle still continues as the soldier is on ventilator support in coma after a rescue from the avalanche on the most challenging terrain of the world, Siachen glacier. The soldier Lance Naik Hanamanthappa Koppad was rescued as he was buried under the 25 feet ice for six days. On Monday, during the rescue operation, he was pulled out by the team and was immediately admitted to a hospital when he was found drowsy under the snow. At present, he is in critical condition with pneumonia, liver and kidney problems .
On February 3, a deadly avalanche killed nine Indian army men on the highest battle field, Siachen glacier and since then, the soldier was trapped under the snow and he was discovered on Monday. The soldier’s family is expected to see him today.
