India’s cricketing legend, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar expressed his complete confidence on young Rahane to lead the Indian team in the front. He said that Rahane will become a very capable captain.
“I am very happy that Rahane was selected as captain for Indian team. He is very hard working and dedicated towards the game. I am really happy that a Mumbaiker got the ropes of captaincy after 15 years,” Sachin said.
Rahane was ousted from team in 2nd ODI on june 21st. Just eight days later, he was pulled back into the team, but this time as a captain.
The controversy repellent Rahene is now a key member of Indian team. According to many senior players, his way of emergence into a team captain is absolutely inspirational.
