Mr. G. Jagadish Reddy, the Energy Minister of Telangana, gave a befitting reply to the comments of Mr. A. Revanth Reddy, the Chief of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC.)
In a press conference, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy said, “The Congress leaders are enemies of Telangana farmers. The leaders like Revanth Reddy will not get good thoughts.” The heated arguments of the two leaders came after the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government in Telangana, announced 24X7 power supply to farmers. Taking a dig at the K. Chandrashekar Rao led BRS Government, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy said, only three hours of power supply was enough.
Mr. G. Jagadish Reddy condemned the TPCC President’s comments and said, “What is the pain the Congress has if the farmers are given 24-hour power.”
Dragging the Indian National Congress and policies of power supply in other Congress led states, Mr. G. Jagadish Reddy said that the comments of Mr. A. Revanth Reddy was not his personal but on behalf of his party. The BRS Minister said, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy has spoken to the INC leader Rahul Gandhi before making such statements.
Mr. G. Jagadish Reddy then highlighted the failure of the Indian National Congress, providing power supply despite making poll promises. Mr. G. Jagdish Reddy said, in Congress led states, the party promised nine hours power supply to farmers, but failed and are providing power for only six hours.
Notably, the BRS Government in Telangana promised to provide 24 hour power supply to the farmers of the State, if the party wins and forms the Government for a third time.
