The Telangana Election Commission issued the notification for the election of the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council.

On the 9th of February, Thursday, the notification was issued, according to which, the  nominations for the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council would be accepted till the 11th of February.

Furthermore, the election of the Deputy Chairman would be conducted in the council on the 12th of February, Sunday. 

As of now, Mr. Banda Prakash Mudhiraj, the Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRSO has been named as the Chairman, unopposed.  He would succeed the current Deputy Chairman Gutta Sukender Reddy, who would end his tenure on the 12th of February 2023.
