British Man to Give Birth to a Baby

Finally men are getting to know the pain it takes to conceive a baby. At least some men. Hayden Cross from England will become the first British male to give birth to a child. Cross, 20, is already 4 months pregnant and proudly showing off his bump.

Hayden was born as a female but as he grew up, he started realizing that he had more male tendencies than what his body showed physically. Although Hayden attended an all girls school in his formative years, he was expelled at the age of 14, around which time he realized the need to change his body to adapt to his basic instincts. Hayden, who now lives in a council flat in Gloucester and receives unemployment benefits, has lived legally as man for three years after taking medication and gender reassignment procedure from the National Health Services (NHS).

But midway the process, Hayden was disappointed to know that NHS wouldn’t freeze his eggs so that he could give birth at a later point on life. So he chose to pause his transition while he got pregnant and gave birth to his baby. But that wasn’t easy either as NHS refused to do the £4,000 surgery. Desperate to introduce a new ray of hope into his life, Hayden went onto social media, appealing for a sperm donor. As it is with good people, God answered his calls and an anonymous donor left his sperm sample at Hayden’s doorstep one fine day. Overwhelmed with joy, Hayden took a syringe and self-injected the sperm. The math was made and he became pregnant in the first go.

4 months later, while Hayden is apprehensive of how the society might accept him, he stands by his decision solidly. “I want the baby to have the best. I’ll be the greatest dad,” said Cross. He will complete his transition, which will remove his breasts and ovaries, after his child is born.

The world’s first man to become pregnant was Thomas Beatie. Hailing from Arizona, he gave birth to three children after having a gender change. Mr. Beatie, born as Tracy Lagondino in Hawaii in 1974, said he always felt like he wanted to be a man. So in his twenties, he started testosterone injections which gave him facial hair and lower voice, altering his organs.

It is great to see that not only are we progressing in terms of our technology but also in our perspective. Such people who are ready to bring a new life on Earth, going beyond the presumptions of the society really deserve all the applause they are getting.
