Amaravati: In a recent update from Amaravati, State Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena revealed that the Central Election Commission (ECI) is yet to make a decision regarding complaints lodged against senior officials of Andhra Pradesh. Meena stated that after receiving explanations from the concerned officials, the complaints were forwarded to the ECI for review. The Commission will finalize its decision following investigations conducted by the Central Intelligence Unit and other relevant methods.

Addressing reporters at the state secretariat in Velagapudi, Meena addressed concerns regarding the distribution of social security pensions and security lapses leading to an incident of stone pelting on Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. He assured that actions will be taken against those responsible, emphasizing the importance of adhering to Standard Operating Procedures for VIP security.

Meena also highlighted the heightened focus of the Central Election Commission on Andhra Pradesh, with the appointment of 18 police observers to address rising complaints from the state. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
