On Wednesday, Google announced the release of the new Pixelbook. This is the third version of Google’s Chromebook Pixel laptop. But this time it’s different and Google hopes to have made a laptop for the masses.
The new Pixelbook will be available at $ 999 abroad. Not only can it run Android apps but it has worked with Adobe to make Lightroom work perfectly on the Pixelbook.
The laptop will come with a 128 GB storage space, unlike the earlier Chromebooks that had just 16 GB storage space.
The laptop is extremely light weighing only 1.1 kilograms. It also comes with an 8 GB RAM.
The laptop comes with a $ 100 Pixel Pen to use on the screen. The Pixel Pen is a bit different from Apple’s styli as you can trigger the Assistant with the Pixel Pen. It allows you to circle an image or mark text and the Assistant will give you the relevant information.
The only sad part is the Pixel Pen has no place on the Pixelbook like a holder or magnet to keep it from getting lost.
The laptop is extremely thin measured 10 millimeters which looks amazing and also gives 10 hours of battery life.
The Pixelbook is not just any ordinary laptop but a convertible PC with an aluminum unibody chassis and 360 degree hinges. The convertible part is to allow users to use the Android apps as they would on a tablet.
